ABOUT THE PHLEBOTOMY CENTREPhlebotomy isn't part of what we do. It is what we do.
OUR STORYBuilt from a belief that phlebotomy deserves specialist training.
The Phlebotomy Centre was established in 2016 with a clear focus: to improve the way phlebotomy is taught, understood and practised.
The idea for The Phlebotomy Centre grew from first-hand experience of how much the quality of blood collection can affect a patient's experience. That experience created a determination to improve the way phlebotomy is taught and practised.
What began as an idea has developed into a specialist training provider supporting people at every stage from complete beginners learning phlebotomy for the first time, to experienced healthcare professionals refreshing their skills and organisations training clinical teams. Over the years, our focus has remained deliberately narrow. We don't try to teach everything in healthcare. We specialise in phlebotomy, allowing us to continually develop our training around the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required in real practice.
Today, The Phlebotomy Centre provides practical training, corporate training and online learning, supporting individuals and organisations across the UK.
WHY PHLEBOTOMY?Specialist by choice.
Phlebotomy can sometimes be treated as a small part of wider clinical training. We see it differently.
Taking blood safely and confidently requires knowledge, practical skill, good technique and an understanding of the person on the other side of the needle.
By specialising in phlebotomy, we're able to focus our training on the details that matter. By combining essential theory with practical learning designed to build confidence and support safe practice.
