We understand that circumstances can change and you may occasionally need to cancel or rearrange your training. This policy explains how cancellations, transfers and refunds are managed by The Phlebotomy Centre Ltd.
Practical Training Courses
Cancelling your booking
If you are unable to attend your booked training date, please contact us in writing by email as soon as possible.
Where possible, we will first offer the option to transfer your booking to an alternative available training date.
If you request a cancellation at least 5 calendar days before your scheduled practical training date, you may be eligible for a full refund, provided you have not accessed or commenced any online learning supplied as part of your course.
Online learning already accessed
Where your booking includes access to an online theory module or other digital learning content and you have already accessed or commenced that content, the value of the digital element may be deducted from any refund due.
We will confirm any applicable deduction before processing your refund.
Transfers
If you need to change your training date, please contact us as soon as possible.
Transfers are subject to availability and may be offered at the discretion of The Phlebotomy Centre.
Once a booking has been transferred following a missed or rearranged course date, failure to attend the new date will not normally qualify for a refund or further transfer.
Late cancellations and non-attendance
Refunds will not normally be issued for cancellations made fewer than 5 calendar days before the scheduled training date.
If you do not attend your booked training without notifying us in advance, your booking will be treated as a no-show and no refund will be issued.
At our discretion, we may offer a credit or transfer to a future training date. Any such offer is discretionary and should not be considered an entitlement.
Late arrival
Learners are responsible for arriving in sufficient time for the start of their course.
Because our practical training involves structured teaching and supervised activities, significant late arrival may mean that you are unable to participate fully or safely in the course.
Where we determine that a learner has arrived too late to participate, this may be treated as non-attendance and a refund will not normally be issued.
eLearning Courses
Our eLearning courses provide access to digital content.
Once digital course content has been accessed or commenced, refunds may be restricted because the digital content has already been supplied.
If you experience a technical problem accessing your course, please contact us so that we can investigate and resolve the issue.
Corporate Training
Cancellation, rescheduling and payment arrangements for corporate or organisation-funded training may be agreed separately as part of the quotation or booking process.
Where specific cancellation terms have been included within your quotation, booking confirmation or agreement, those terms will apply.
If We Cancel or Reschedule Training
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may require us to change or cancel a scheduled training course.
If The Phlebotomy Centre cancels a course, we will offer you the choice of:
transferring your booking to an alternative available training date; or
receiving a refund of the amount paid for the affected course.
Where we need to reschedule a course, we will contact affected learners as soon as reasonably possible.
The Phlebotomy Centre is not responsible for additional expenses incurred in connection with attending a course, such as travel, accommodation or loss of earnings, except where required by law.
How Refunds Are Processed
Where a refund is approved, it will normally be returned using the original payment method.
The time taken for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider.
Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any rights you may have under applicable UK consumer law.
Where your statutory rights provide greater protection than the terms set out in this policy, your statutory rights will apply.
